All foreign nationals need visas to enter Ethiopia.

1. Organizing Committee will process with Ethiopian Head of Immigration.
2. New regulations of immigration require all international citizens to apply for business Visa at the Ethiopian Embassy in their respective countries after receiving approval from the Ethiopian Head of Immigration in Addis Ababa. Approvals shall be forwarded by the Organizing committee to the applicants within 10 days after receiving conference registration and proof of payment to attend the conference.
3. Countries where Ethiopian Embassy is not available, Ethiopian Head of Immigration shall give slip of approval of application. Such Slip is to be presented at the time of entry at the immigration desk at the airport in Addis Ababa, and Visa is obtained on arrival after making respective payment. Approvals Slips shall be forwarded by the Organizing committee to the applicants within 10 days after receiving conference registration and proof of payment to attend the conference.

   A scanned passport copy (valid for 6 months after expiry date of the Ethiopian visa)  is to be up-loaded upon registration for participation of the RAME 2016 conference, which will be auto received by the organizing team.

4. If your country of residence differs with your nationality, please also include and up-load a scanned copy of your work or residence permits.
5. Entry Visa issued shall be valid for a maximum period of 30 days from the date of approval; hence, applications shall be submitted by the committee after 1^st week of April, 2016.
6. Passport data will be forwarded to the Ethiopian Head of Immigration. Once approved, Information shall be transmitted by the organizing committee with respective invitation letter.
7. Upon receiving the approval from the Head of Immigration and our visa invitation letter, participant can apply for the business visa for Ethiopia at the Ethiopian embassy in his/her country of residence.
8. Cost of VISA application is paid to the Embassy at the time of submitting applications as per their respective charges.

Business Visa Application:

Standard Documents required for the business visa application:

1. Passport valid for 6 months after the expiry of the Ethiopian visa (with at least two blank pages) One recent passport-sized photo (concealed in a small envelope and put in the passport)
2. One completed Application Form (for the visa type C_V), to be completed by the applicant and not by the travel agent on behalf of the visa applicant.
3. If travelling by air, a photocopy of the airline ticket needs to be included; if travelling by land, the specifications of the vehicle to be used are necessary.
4. We advise participants to have Cash Dollars on hand. Credit or Debit Cards are not accepted.

For individuals holding passports from countries without an Ethiopian embassy or mission in their country of residence:

Please print out the Approved Slip and insert it in your passport. This approval document will entitle you to board your plane and to obtain a business visa on arrival at the airport’s entry points. On arrival visa fee is US$ 50.

The final cut-off date for submission of applications shall be 30^th of April, 2016, by which time all applications should be processed, approved and visa’s obtained.
